Pool & Gardens

The acre of land has good privacy and starts with a gently sloping base backed by a steep terraced bank. The 60 or so ancient olive trees are interspersed with walnut, mulberry, quince, citrus, loquat, mimosa, palms, yucca and pine trees. There are various planted areas with roses, bougainvillea, ornamental grasses, cactus bank, shrub border, bamboo thickets and cascading ice plant. The climbing jasmine now shades the pergola over the loungers by the pool.

In Greece the external spaces are as important as the internal; a great feature of Jennies House are the terraces which offer a choice of shade or sun, distant or garden views, breeze or shelter. The swimming pool (unheated but maintains a pleasant temperature) while not large allows frequent cooling dips and a place for children to play. It is not fenced so children must be supervised. Pool checked twice per week.
