| Getting
There... There are many ways but the most convenient for Europeans is by charter flight to Skiathos (about three and a half hours), taxi to the harbour (5 mins), and hydrofoil to Skopelos (45 mins). UK flights are from Gatwick, Bristol or Manchester. THEY ARE VERY POPULAR AND FILL UP QUICKLY. Early booking is essential to avoid disappointment. Try www.charterflights.co.uk or your local travel agent will have details. Other options are UK charter flight to Volos ( half an hour to the port, two and a half hours by hydrofoil). Athens has many charter and scheduled flights from the UK Europe and Long-haul; there is a regular service by air conditioned bus to Aghios Konstantinos connecting with the hydrofoil - total journey about 6 hours. We prefer to fly Gatwick - Thessaloniki, hire a car (visit other sites) and take the ferry from Volos. | |

In September and October there are occasional storms but temperatures remain in the 70's and the sea is still warm.
